Handling & Storage Tips

Interior Grade (MR – Moisture Resistant)

Baltic Birch bundles should always be stacked flat with full, even support across the entire sheet surface to prevent sagging, bowing, or permanent deformation.

Control Moisture and Elevate

Store Baltic Birch bundles in a dry, well-ventilated area and keep them elevated off the floor on pallets or support bars to protect against ground moisture and condensation. Storage temperature should be between −40 °F and 122 °F, with relative humidity not exceeding 80%.

Acclimate Before Cutting

Before cutting or machining, allow Baltic Birch to acclimate to the shop environment for 24–72 hours so moisture levels can stabilize and reduce the risk of movement after processing.

Protect Edges and Surfaces

Keep factory packaging intact as long as possible and protect exposed edges and faces from impacts, abrasion, and direct contact with tools or forklifts.

Use Stickers for Airflow

When opening bundles or storing sheets long-term, use evenly spaced stickers between layers to promote airflow and maintain consistent moisture distribution throughout the stack.
