Sustainability
Baltic Birch plywood is produced through a controlled, renewable forest-to-product cycle, not short-term extraction.
Birch grows relatively fast compared to many hardwood species and is harvested from managed forests, where cutting is balanced with regeneration. Logs are processed close to the source to reduce waste, and nearly the entire tree is utilized during production.
Manufacturing focuses on material efficiency. Thin, uniform veneers allow more usable plywood to be produced from each log compared to thick-sawn lumber. Offcuts and byproducts are commonly repurposed for energy or secondary wood products rather than discarded.
Once produced, sheets are bundled efficiently to optimize transport and reduce unnecessary freight volume. After harvesting, reforestation and forest management practices ensure long-term supply continuity.
Sustainability in Baltic Birch is not a marketing claim — it is a result of how the material is grown, processed, used, and renewed.
